Rabbi Yitzchak ben Avdimi, of the second amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, stands in this index at no mentions.

The Babylonian Rav Yitzchak bar Avdimi, who has his own entry and a substantial body of citations, is written with the Babylonian title and the Aramaic bar; this Eretz-Yisrael form the corpus never spells. Whether the two are one man is not settled here, and the roster marks the entry for review rather than merging them on a guess.

The gematria of the name

Computed from the consonantal letters of רבי יצחק בן אבדימי by the same engine that runs every search. This is the value of a NAME — no word of the Talmud is valued anywhere in this app.

This corpus never writes this name on its own. Either the Bavli does not name him at all, or every form it uses is one a sage of the same name also answers to — and this index credits nobody rather than guessing. He is in the roster, at zero, because leaving him out would be its own kind of lie.
